1
Request access and install the app
Open Request access on getposbridge.com. After review you receive a personal install link — POSBridge is not publicly listed on the Shopify App Store.
2
Connect SumUp Account (OAuth)
POSBridge → Settings → Connect SumUp via OAuth → log in with SumUp account → click Allow. Done — no API key or merchant code needed.
3
Enable Cloud API on the terminal
On the SumUp Solo: swipe down → Connections → Cloud API (sometimes API). A pairing code (8–9 alphanumeric) appears — enter it later in the app. Solo and iPad need internet, not the same Wi-Fi.
4
Pair terminal
POSBridge → Terminals → Pair new reader → enter the pairing code (8–9 alphanumeric) in the app → Pair.
5
Assign terminal to a location
Terminals → Assign (dialog Assign terminal) → Shopify location → Assign.
6
Create manual payment method
Shopify admin → Sales channels → Point of Sale → Customize in-store / Edit POS app → Checkout → Add custom payment type → name e.g. SumUp → Save.
7
Add POS Extension to Smart Grid
Shopify POS app → pencil icon → Add app tile → SumUp Payment → Done.
8
First payment
Shopify POS → add a product → SumUp Payment tile → Send payment. The amount goes to the SumUp Solo. Finish the sale with the custom payment type (POS editor: Sales channels → Point of Sale → Edit POS app → Checkout). Refunds use the Shopify POS return — there is no POSBridge refund screen.
9
Check Transactions
POSBridge → menu Transactions (title Transactions & Reconciliation) → Synchronize. Auto-match: card Auto-Assignment (POS) → Edit. Not Settings → Reconciliation.
10
Select plan (after trial)
After 7 days: POSBridge → Plans → choose plan → confirm in Shopify.
