# Set Up Multi-Location

> Configure multiple Shopify locations with their own terminals and POS devices.

<Note>
  How many locations and terminals you may use depends on your plan. No fixed numbers in this guide — current limits: POSBridge → **Plans & Pricing**.
</Note>

You first pair terminals in POSBridge without a location. Then you assign each terminal to a Shopify location — button **Assign**. That way each iPad at the location can use its terminal.

*About 5–10 minutes*

<Steps>
  <Step title="Check Shopify locations">
    Shopify Admin → Settings → Locations. All locations must exist and be active there.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pair terminals">
    POSBridge → Terminals → **Pair new reader**. Terminals have no location yet.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Assign">
    In the terminals list tap **Assign** (dialog title **Assign terminal**). Choose the Shopify location → save. Repeat for each terminal.
  </Step>

  <Step title="POS device (optional, same dialog)">
    In the same dialog under **POS Device Mapping (Optional)** choose an iPad. There is no second “Assign POS device” button. Once the device is recognised, the matching terminal is pre-selected.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Can one terminal be used at multiple locations?">
    No. A terminal always belongs to exactly one location. For another location tap **Assign** again and change the location.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What happens when I reach the location limit of my plan?">
    POSBridge blocks further pairing or assigning to new locations. The exact limit is under **Plans & Pricing** — an upgrade raises it.
