# Cancel Ongoing Payment

> Stop an ongoing payment at the terminal.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Tap Cancel">
    Tap **Cancel** in the POSBridge POS extension while the payment is in progress.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Wait for confirmation">
    The payment is stopped on the terminal. Payment status is set to CANCELLED.
  </Step>

<Warning>
  If the card was already charged (status PAID), cancellation is no longer possible. In this case a refund must be performed.
