# Connect SumUp Account (OAuth)

> Connect SumUp securely via OAuth 2.0 — no API key needed.

  POSBridge uses OAuth 2.0 — you log in once with your SumUp account and grant permissions. Tokens refresh automatically, no manual renewal needed.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open POSBridge Settings">
    Open the POSBridge app in Shopify Admin → click **Settings** in the left navigation.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click 'Connect SumUp via OAuth'">
    In the **SumUp OAuth** section click the **Connect SumUp via OAuth** button. You will be redirected to the SumUp login page.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign in with SumUp account">
    Sign in with your SumUp credentials (same as in the SumUp app or me.sumup.com).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Allow permissions">
    SumUp shows the requested permissions. Click **Allow**. You will be redirected back to POSBridge automatically.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Connection confirmed">
    A green banner *"SumUp successfully connected"* confirms the connection. Done — no further step needed.

  <Accordion title="Do I still need an API key?">
    No. OAuth fully replaces the API key. Existing API key connections still work, but we recommend switching to OAuth.

  <Accordion title="What happens when the token expires?">
    Tokens are automatically refreshed in the background. No action needed from you.

  <Accordion title="Can I disconnect later?">
    Yes. In settings there is a **Disconnect** button. You can reconnect afterwards.

  <Accordion title="I do not see the OAuth button">
    Make sure you are using the latest version of the POSBridge app. Open Shopify Admin → Apps → POSBridge and refresh the page.
